The Director of Defence Information, Major General Samaila Uba, has stated that the panel found several of the officers had cases to answer concerning the attempted coup against President Tinubu.
According to established protocols and current regulations, Uba said that the impacted military personnel would now be subject to a military court-martial.
Uba revealed this in a statement released on Monday, January 26, 2026, according to reports.

He further added that most of the officers are drawn from the Infantry, Signals, and Ordnance Corps of the Armed Forces.
