The Tinubu academic certificate allegation has resurfaced ahead of the 2027 general elections after African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain and lawyer, Kalu Kalu, raised fresh concerns over President Bola Tinubu’s academic records.
Kalu made the claims on Monday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, while reacting to the release of presidential candidates’ credentials and personal details by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The ADC chieftain alleged that there are unresolved issues surrounding President Tinubu’s educational background, claiming that his academic certificates and records contain inconsistencies.
According to Kalu, Tinubu’s failure to include his primary and secondary school details in the educational section of his personal particulars submitted to INEC for the 2027 presidential election raised questions.
“Everything about President Bola Tinubu’s certificate is shrouded in forgery. Today, what do we have in Tinubu’s records? There is no information as to his primary school or his secondary school,” Kalu alleged.
He also referred to previous controversies surrounding Tinubu’s academic records from Chicago State University, claiming that documents released during legal proceedings raised further questions about the President’s credentials.
Kalu alleged that Tinubu’s claim of attending Government College Lagos and graduating in 1970 did not align with available information about the institution.
He further raised concerns over a GCE certificate reportedly submitted by Tinubu, claiming it was also questionable.
The ADC chieftain also referenced Tinubu’s previous election documents, alleging that details about his primary and secondary education had differed over time.
