Kano State leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have thrown their support behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 election.

The endorsement came after a three-day stakeholders’ meeting held at the home of former National Chairman and Kano APC leader, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, with representatives from all 44 local government areas and 484 wards in attendance.
APC chieftain Umar Idris Shuaibu described the meeting as a “strategic show of unity and readiness,” emphasizing Ganduje’s role in strengthening party structures and promoting cohesion at the grassroots level.
“Kano stands firmly behind Tinubu. Dr. Ganduje has ensured the APC operates as a disciplined, cohesive, and mobilised party,” Shuaibu said.
The meeting resolved to maintain coordination across wards, strengthen party offices, and prepare for upcoming elections.
Ganduje reportedly instructed that all local government and ward offices remain functional to accommodate new members defecting from opposition parties.
