The two rivals couldn’t be separated in a must-watch game of the English Premier League between Chelsea and Arsenal as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

The match started with both teams making vicious attacking attempts at each other. In the 32nd minute, Arsenal had their goal disallowed through VAR. Kai Havertz was visibly disappointed at the decision.

The first half was filled with many fouls from Chelsea and the team picked 3 yellow cards just before halftime. Colwill, Neto, and Madueke all picked up a yellow card for Chelsea in the first half.

After many tussles and attempts, a goal was recorded in the second half for Arsenal through Gabriel Martinelli, who put the ball past Sanches at the near post.

Ten minutes later, Chelsea’s most expensive signing in the summer, Pedro Neto fired home a fierce shot with his left foot beating Arsenal’s goalie and into the net. This put the match at 1-1.

Both team coaches made tactical substitutions in a bid to seal the game off with a win. Coach Maresca brought in Enzo Fernández, Mykhaylo Mudryk, Reece James, and Christopher Nkunku. While Arteta brought in Trossard, Mikel Merino, and Gabriel Jesus who came in for the injured Bukayo Saka.

There wasn’t much to separate the two after 80 minutes with both teams missing crucial chances in each other halves.

The match ended in a draw with even ball possession and equal shots on target.

Not much was seen from Martin Odegaard of Arsenal or Nicolas Jackson of Chelsea. It was really a quiet game for both of them, whom the fans felt would have changed the course of the match.

Chelsea remains in 5th position with 18 points and Arsenal in 6th position also with 18 points
