Controversial social media critic Martins Vincent Otse known as Verydarkman has responded after a Chief Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja issued a bench warrant for his arrest on charges of ”criminal defamation” against gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna issued the bench warrant on Thursday, March 13, 2025 after Verydarkman failed to appear in court following a summon issued on March 5, 2025.
In response to the arrest warrant, Verydarkman who is currently abroad, took to his Instagram story challenging security agencies to apprehend him upon his return to Nigeria.
He confidently stated that he was familiar with being arrested.

‘‘I dey come Naija very soon make una ready to arrest me for airport. Arrest no be new thing for the Ratel na.”
