The Rivers state police command has detained Elijah, the general overseer of a new generation church, over alleged of homosexuality.
Reports gathered revealed that the cleric whose church is located at Eagle Island in Port Harcourt got into trouble after a man he was attempting to make out with leaked videos of him engaging in such condemnable act.
A source who requested anonymity said, “We don’t know how the Octopus Strike Force of the Rivers State obtained the video and began pursuing the pastor.”
“So, during the investigation, the officers acting on credible intelligence trailed the cleric to one of his relaxation spots and arrested him.”
Reports gathered disclosed that during an interrogation session, the clergyman reportedly confessed to the homosexuality accusations, and further provided the police with useful information on his activities involving both male adults and kids in and around Port Harcourt.
When reached on Tuesday, the Rivers state police command spokesman, Grace Iringe-Koko , confirmed the pastor’s detention over alleged homosexuality, stating that an investigation was still underway.
She said “She said, “Yes, I can confirm the pastor’s arrest. He is in custody and under investigation. In fact, he has been charged to court.”
