Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in response to the ongoing banter between himself and former minister of transport has stated the only condition under which he would resign from his office as minister.

Wike promised to step down if former Transport Minister Rotimi Amaechi was not indicted in the forensic audit report on the Niger Delta Development Commission, or NDDC.

He urged President Bola Tinubu to make the forensic audit report on NDDC public.

Wike made this revelation on Friday during an appearance on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” show.

According to the FCT Minister, Amaechi was using his wife as a guise to receive N4 billion a month from NDDC in the name of training women from the Niger Delta.

Wike said: “Amaechi’s wife company, every month, got N4 billion to train Niger Delta women. That is N48 billion in one year alone, and the forensic audit report is there. Who killed it?

“Mr President should help Nigerians. You see, this is what I have always said. Mr President should help Nigerians. Please, release the forensic audit of the NDDC.

“I have said, let Mr President please do us a favour to release that document.

“If what I am saying is not in the document, I will resign at the Minister of the FCT. I said I will resign. I don’t worship office.”
