The Yobe State Police Command has issued a warning to residents against the diversion, vandalism, or sale of farm tools and relief materials distributed by the State Government.
The warning was conveyed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, following a directive from the government during the launch of an agricultural empowerment initiative aimed at boosting food production, ensuring food security, and improving the well-being of citizens.
Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Ado, emphasized that anyone caught violating the government’s directive will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.
“The Command is committed to maintaining security, safety, and protecting life and property”, he said.
