Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy has set a new record as the African artist with the most entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

His latest collaboration with American rapper Gunna, titled ‘WGFT’ from Gunna’s new album The Last Wun, debuted at number 96 on this week’s Hot 100, marking Burna Boy’s seventh entry on the chart.
Additionally, the ‘Last Last’ hitmaker is the first African artist to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive years—2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Recalls that he first graced the chart in 2021 with ‘Loved By You’ alongside Canadian pop star Justin Bieber. He made his first solo appearance in 2022, peaking at number 44 with ‘Last Last’.
He also holds the record for the most entries by an African artist on the UK Singles Chart (26) and the Canadian Hot 100 (11).
