Nigerian singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has accused American music magazine Billboard of “robbing” him by excluding his songs from its recently released Top 50 Best Afrobeats Songs of All Time list.

2Face’s ‘African Queen’ claimed the top spot on the Billboard-curated list, with other iconic tracks like Timaya’s ‘Dem Mama’, Weird MC’s ‘Ijoya’, and Olu Maintain’s ‘Yahooze’ also featured.
However, Terry G’s popular hits including ‘Akpako Master’, ‘Free Madness’, and ‘Run Mad’ were noticeably missing from the list.

Reacting to a post by music monitoring platform, Chart Data, reporting ‘African Queen’ as number one on the list, Terry G claimed that he was “robbed.” He wrote, “TERRY G robbed.”
His post elicited mixed reactions, with some fans agreeing that he deserves to be on the list, while others argued that none of his songs stand a chance against ‘African Queen’ for the number one spot.
