During Friday’s plenary, the house decided to suspend the lawmakers for six months.
A motion of urgent significance demanding disciplinary action was made by the majority leader of the house, Saater Tiseer.
Tiseer said the lawmakers were trying to create an unnecessary issue in order to disturb the unity of the assembly. Dajoh thereafter directed the sergeant-at-arms to lead the affected members out of the chamber.

The new assembly spokesperson, Audu Elias, was also introduced by the speaker following the suspension of, Berger, one of the lawmakers suspended who previously served as spokeswoman.
Berger refuted rumours on Wednesday that a bill opposing romance and love in the state had been approved by the parliament.

He added that parliamentarians had not even considered such a bill and that it was not before the assembly.
