Dangote Group in a bid to vindicate itself has released an official statement following Big brother Naija S7 winner, Phyna’s sister, Ruth Otabor’s death, informing the general public that the company was already making arrangements and preparation to fly Ruth Otabor to India for advance treatment before her death.
While expressing its sympathies to the family of the deceased, Dangote Group revealed this information on Sunday in a statement posted on its X account.
Recall that Ruth Otabor’s death was announced by her family on Sunday.
Her death follows her involvement in a fatal accident in which a Dangote Cement truck plying the Auchi, Edo State, road crushed her.
Phyna’s sister eventually succumbed to death away on Sunday after having her legs amputated as a result of the accident and a period of excruciating pain.

According to Phyna, Dangote broke its pledge to send her late sister for medical care overseas.
However, Dangote Group in its condolence message released on its official X page, claimed that plans were underway for the late Ruth to be flown to India pending medical clearance from her doctors before her unfortunate demise.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ruth Otabor, who was injured in the recent road incident involving one of our trucks in Auchi, Edo state.
“On behalf of the entire Dangote Group, we extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones at this difficult time.
“Since the accident, our officials and insurance partners have been by her side, covering all financial and medical costs and supporting her family.
“Arrangements had been made for her to be flown to India for advanced treatment, pending medical clearance from her doctors,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Phyna has been in heated social media banter with critic and activist VDM over a previous feud the two had.
