The former coordinator of the Tinubu-Shettima 2023 Presidential Campaign in Zamfara State, Senator Kabiru Marafa, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal government of deliberately planting ‘mines’ within opposition political parties.

Marafa made the allegation on Monday during an appearance on Channels TV’s Politics Today programme.
The ex-senator had earlier announced his resignation from the APC, according to reports from a credible media source.
Speaking on Monday about his resignation, Marafa said he had not yet decided which political party he would join.
He explained that he was studying the members of various political parties before making a final decision.

He said: “Which party am I going to now? Already the APC is planting land mines everywhere in the political parties, waiting for people – well meaning people that want to defend their people, that want to advance the cause of the people to come in and they will engage them in unnecessary fights in the parties.
“So that is why we said we are not in a hurry, there is still time. Alright, we are going to study the political parties, study the members that are in the political parties before we take a final decision.”
