President Bola Tinubu is now back to Abuja after abruptly shortening his initial 10-day annual leave to Paris and London. The president arrived the state capital on Tuesday evening with his presidential envoy.
At about 06:50 p.m. local time, the President’s Airbus A330 landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

It was anticipated that Tinubu, who left Nigeria on September 4, would stay in Europe until later this week.
However, the decision to shorten the trip was made without providing an official explanation.

President Tinubu’s return coincides with the expiration on Thursday of the six-month emergency in the oil-rich state of Rivers.
The 73-year-old president has travelled abroad 15 times since January 2025, frequently juggling work and leisure.

He spent roughly 14 working days in Paris and London on his most recent vacation, which took place in April.
