Tonye Cole Makes Bold Claim: Fubara Set for Powerless and Unstable Return as Governor

The 2023 All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Rivers State, Tonye Cole, has stated that the suspended state governor, Sim Fubara, will be left with “zero” powers once his suspension is lifted.

Tony Cole made the remark on Wednesday during an interview on The Morning Brief, a programme aired on Channels Television.

Tony Cole added that Fubara would face a challenging and uncertain political situation upon his return.

Tonye Cole further stated that Fubara would not be able to make any decision as a governor without interference.

“Rivers, a critical state in Nigeria, had a governor who would not be able to exercise his full authority as an elected leader,” Tony Cole lamented.
