Nine former members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who were recently offered automatic employment by Governor Alex Otti have pledged to serve Abia State with commitment and integrity.

They made this vow on Tuesday in response to their appointment into the Abia State Civil Service by the Governor.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Nwogu Chinomso from Obingwa Local Government Area expressed gratitude to Governor Otti for the recognition and opportunity, assuring him of their dedication to duty.
“I want to sincerely express our heartfelt gratitude to you, Your Excellency, for the recognition and encouragement you have given to us.”
Chinomso, who who described Otti as a true leader, prayed God to bless him.

Earlier in his speech, Governor Alex Otti directed the Head of Service, Mr. Benson Ojeikere, to grant immediate employment to the nine ex-NYSC members without interview.
According to Otti, “They have already passed the interviews.”
Abia State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Gladys Adama, who expressed joy over the automatic employment, said that eight out the nine Ex-NYSC members served outside the South-East zone and excelled in their places of primary assignment.
The new employees are Nwogu Chinonso, Anyanwụ Promise, Ezieme Francis Uba, Emmanuel Ogbenyealu Ezinne, Abia Chinwendu Grace, Nwafike Esther Chiemela, Dr. Ugwa Obinna Mark, Eke Lawrence Miracle and James Raphael chukwuebuka.
