Damagun now against me after helping him-Wike makes heavy allegations

Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital, has accused Umar Damagun, National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), of betraying him.

Wike claimed that he has become Damagum’s adversary and that the PDP Chairman will kill him without hesitation if given the chance.

He claimed that he done everything in his ability to keep Damagun as the PDP Chairman and that this is why he is still in that role.

“I did everything, I had his lawyers, and that’s what sustained Damagum to be there,” Wike said on Thursday while fielding questions on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

“But who is Damagum’s enemy now? It is me. If there is one person Damagum wants to be killed, it is me,” he added.

Recall that Sule Lamido, a former governor of Jigawa State, recently called on the Damagun-led National Working Committee, to expel Wike, former governor of Benue State Samuel Ortom, Okezie Ikpeazu, and other PDP officials who were anti-party.

Lamido called on the NWC to use its power to punish members who publicly discredit the party in order to benefit the ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC.
