As the PDP convention gets underway in Ibadan, Oyo State, some key figures, including governors, in the opposition party, have been recorded absent and not yet spotted.
The absentee governors include; Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Sim Fubara (Rivers), and Agbu Kefas (Taraba).

Those present at the exercise include; Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, Governor Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Governor Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau) and the PDP acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum.
This development comes amide widely spread rumours that governor Fubara, Kefas and two other governors have began making moves towards defection ahead of 2027.

Also present at the PDP convention are; the Senate Minority Leader, Abba Moro; a former governor of Osun, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, his Gombe counterpart, Senator Ibrahim Dankwambo; the Board of Trustees chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara; and a chieftain of the party, Bode George, among others.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian national flag, the national convention banner, and the party’s flag have all been given to PDP leaders.

The PDP flag was given to Damagum, while the national convention flag was given to Fintiri, who also serves as its chairman.
Despite the weeks-long litigation, the PDP convention is finally taking place .
