Senate President Godswill Akpabio stated on Wednesday that Nigeria must triumph in its battle against insecurity.

Akpabio noted that just as God enabled the world to defeat COVID-19, Nigeria too will overcome its security challenges.
He made the comment during the ministerial screeningAkpabio of former Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, for the position of Defence Minister.
The Senate President said that, for the sake of future generations, Nigeria must win the war against insecurity.
He said: “If God can assist the world to win the war against COVID then we can win the war against insecurity, we shall win the war against insecurity.
“We don’t want to talk about the collaborators, we don’t want to talk about any conspiracies, we don’t want to talk about the enemies of Nigeria and the government, we don’t want to look at them, we just want to win the war. We must win this war for us to bequeath a better country to future generations.”
