
A chaotic moment erupted in the Senate on Wednesday after some lawmakers resisted an attempt to excuse former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and ministerial nominee, General Christopher Musa (rtd), from being questioned.

According to reports, the tension began when the Senator representing Niger East, Sani Musa, suggested that the nominee should be allowed to “take a bow and go.”

The proposal was swiftly rejected, prompting several senators to stand up and shout in protest as the chamber descended into disorder.
Recall that the Senate began the screening of General Christopher, rtd, as the new Minister of Defence on Wednesday.
