The victims, who are local construction workers working on a project, were recently kidnapped by armed men during an attack in the Oba neighbourhood, leaving their relatives and neighbours terrified.
“The kidnappers have reached out and demanded N500 million for the release of the seven construction workers,” the source said.
“We are appealing to the Kwara State Government and security agencies to intensify efforts to secure their safe release.”

Recall that 7 workers were previously abducted from a construction site in Kwara state and this incident is not the first of its kind in the state, as in recent times, the state has seen terrorism attacks following a surge in insecurity crisis.
According to a source who spoke with SaharaReporters, the attackers invaded a local construction site and forcibly removed the workers.
The source claims that at the time of the incident, the victims were working on a construction project.
