A group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, known as the Kogi APC Renaissance Forum, has said that the anti-corruption drive of the current administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu requires sustained and intensified action.

The group made the assertion in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Emmanuel Adejo, and released on Thursday.
Adejo emphasized that the recent crackdown on corruption by the Tinubu administration is not aimed solely at opposition party members, but cuts across party lines.
He added that some members of the APC are also being prosecuted.
The group used the opportunity to throw its weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s fight against corruption and corrupt persons in Nigeria.
Adejo said the fight against corruption embarked upon by the present administration requires more action.

On behalf of the forum, he appealed to Nigerians to support Tinubu’s renewed fight against corruption in the country.
He also advised Nigerians who engage in corrupt activities to desist forthwith else risk serving jail terms.
He said, “The nature and character of corruption in Nigeria, driven by politically exposed persons (PEPs) requires a much more drastic and robust approach.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated unwavering commitment to overcoming the challenge of corruption in Nigeria by masterfully demonstrating his ability to differentiate clearly between partisan politics and governance. Corruption must be recompensed through appropriate punishment and diligent prosecution is the key in this regards.
“The fight against corruption in Nigeria requires a paradigm shift and bolder actions to effectively address its deep- rooted and multifaceted nature”.
