Youths of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Irele Local Government Area, Ondo State, have publicly rejected the re-election bid of Jimi Odimayo, the current lawmaker representing Okitipupa-Irele Federal Constituency.

In a statement released on Thursday, the APC youths, led by Adewale Adefua, said it is time for a change in representation at the National Assembly.
They further endorsed Bidemi Obayangban, Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State on Forestry, describing her as a more suitable candidate for the legislative seat.

“We have seen the positive impact Hon. Obayangban has made in our community. It is time for a change, and we believe he is the right person to represent us,” Adefua said.
Also speaking on the issue, Ajibade Omogunoye, a youth leader in the area, said, “We are backing Obayangban because of his humility and passion for our people. We believe he can bring about the change we need despite our kinsman, Odimayo, seeking reelection.”
