Pastor Adeboye’s 2026 Prophecy on Nigeria Sparks Reactions
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has sparked mixed reactions online after releasing his 2026 prophecy for Nigeria.
The message was shared in a video from the crossover service held at his church and has continued to circulate widely on social media.

In the video, Pastor Adeboye’s 2026 prophecy focused on what he described as a possible turnaround for Nigeria. He stated that Nigerians who relocated abroad in search of greener pastures may return home, adding that hunger and hardship in the country would reduce.
The respected cleric explained that the prophecy was in two parts but noted that he would not disclose the second part yet. According to him, he would continue to pray about it and, if God permits, reveal it on Friday.
Pastor Adeboye’s 2026 prophecy quickly gained attention across social media platforms, drawing different reactions from Nigerians at home and in the diaspora. While some followers welcomed the message with prayers and optimism, others expressed doubts.

Some Nigerians questioned the relevance of yearly spiritual declarations about the nation’s future, arguing that Nigeria’s challenges require more practical and policy-driven solutions rather than repeated prophecies.

The message also reopened debates surrounding previous predictions attributed to the RCCG leader. Critics recalled earlier prophecies by the cleric who was seen with Apostle Selman a few weeks ago, which they claimed were not fulfilled, using them to challenge the credibility of the new message.
Others speculated that Pastor Adeboye’s 2026 prophecy on Nigeria might be scripted or influenced by the government, describing it as a yearly gamble.

A few Nigerians also shared their observations about the congregation’s reaction when Adeboye mentioned that “japa Nigerians” would return, noting that the response appeared muted.

@heisizumichaels wrote: “This guy talks a lot for someone who parade himself as a said man of God & almost all the time, he lies to his gullible worshippers with straight face. Prayers won’t fix Nigeria as it has never fixed anywhere in the world. It’s either Nigerians help themselves or forget it.”
