Sokoto South Senator, Aminu Tambuwal, has stated that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-presidential candidate Peter Obi, and former Minister Rotimi Amaechi will rally behind whoever emerges as the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Aminu Tambuwal made the assertion while responding to remarks by former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, who had claimed that Obi is the driving force of the ADC.
Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time, the former Sokoto State governor said he is actively involved in the coalition talks and noted that a possible transition to the ADC is being considered. He added that consultations are ongoing with stakeholders in Sokoto and across the country to reach a final decision.
“However, I don’t join issues with Ayo Fayose, I have said so before and I still stand by what I have said.
“I believe that the leadership of the ADC from the very foundation, from what we have been discussing, agreed to have a very transparent primary election and if we have it, all of us in the coalition will support that candidate.
“Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, we will all support, I have been playing a major role in the coalition and it will be too insensitive for me to come out right now to say vote based on this or that.”
