Troops of the Joint Task Force, operating under Operation Enduring Peace, have neutralized seven suspected criminals during a raid on a criminal hideout in Kaura Local Government Area, Kaduna State, and successfully rescued a kidnapped woman unharmed.

The incident was reported on X on Wednesday by security analyst Zagazola Makama.
According to the post, the operation was carried out on Tuesday following credible intelligence regarding the movements and activities of criminal elements in the area.
The soldiers reportedly stormed the hideout and engaged the suspects in a gun battle.
During the operation, four of the criminals were neutralised, while others fled the scene with suspected gunshot injuries.
“Items recovered from the hideout included a locally fabricated rifle, five rounds of 7.62mm ammunition and two motorcycles believed to have been used for criminal operations,” Makama wrote.

Security sources said preliminary findings linked the suspects to a criminal gang responsible for attacks and kidnappings along the Ganawuri–Manchok corridor of southern Kaduna.
In a related operation, the troops also responded to intelligence on the abduction of a young woman, identified as Miss Immaculate Samuel, who was kidnapped on the night of January 13 at Kajim Village, also in Kaura LGA.
The troops reportedly pursued the kidnappers, leading to another exchange of gunfire during which three additional suspects were neutralised.
The kidnapped woman was rescued without injury.
After her rescue, the victim was debriefed by security personnel and later reunited with her family.
