Governor Agbu Kefas, through his Chief of Staff, Jeji Williams, delivered the commendation during the 2025 West African Social Activities (WASA) celebration of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army.
In his remarks, the governor lauded the Brigade Commander and soldiers for their sacrifices and unwavering dedication, highlighting that their efforts have played a crucial role in improving the security situation in Taraba State.
Governor Agbu Kefas emphasized that the current relative peace in Taraba State is the result of strong collaboration between the Nigerian Army and other security agencies, all operating under a shared vision of stability.

He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting security agencies through ongoing collaboration, strategic partnerships, and institutional backing. The governor stressed that the government would provide the necessary resources to enable security personnel to effectively carry out their constitutional duties, while urging the troops of 6 Brigade to remain disciplined, professional, and respectful of human rights and the rule of law.
Earlier, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, Commander of 6 Brigade and Sector 3 Commander of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), described WASA as a vital tradition of the Nigerian Army, designed to foster unity, cohesion, and morale among officers, soldiers, and their families.
