Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has praised the Kano State Police Command for the swift arrest of suspects linked to the killing of a housewife and her children in Dorayi Quarters.
The commendation was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf described the prompt action by the police as a strong display of professionalism, bravery, and dedication to the protection of lives and property in Kano State.
He noted that the gruesome incident, which shocked residents and threw the state into mourning, was deeply distressing. However, he said the rapid identification and arrest of the suspects had gone a long way in restoring public confidence in the security agencies.
The governor also applauded the Commissioner of Police and officers involved in the operation for adopting intelligence-driven tactics that led to the successful breakthrough, emphasizing that such commitment must be sustained to curb criminal activities.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the police and other security agencies with necessary logistics and cooperation to ensure criminals have no hiding place in the state.
He also urged residents to continue assisting security agencies with timely and credible information, noting that community collaboration remains critical to maintaining peace and security.
The governor Abba Kabir Yusuf further directed that the suspects be thoroughly investigated and diligently prosecuted to ensure justice for the victims and serve as a deterrent to others.
