Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju Fires Scathing Mockery at Gumi, Says He’s Crying Over Khamenei’s Death has derided controversial Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmad Gumi following the confirmed death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a joint U.S.–Israel military operation.

Deji Adeyanju labelled Gumi — whom he branded a “terrorist sympathiser” — as being in tears over the development, dismissing his reaction as weak and misplaced.
Context: Khamenei, aged 86, was killed in coordinated air strikes carried out by forces from the United States and Israel, a major escalation that has drawn global reactions.
The airstrike was part of a large-scale operation in the heart of Tehran.
Reacting, Gumi described the deceased Iran’s Supreme leader as “a lucky soul” who “died in jihad.”
Gumi said Khamenei died “in jihad against killers of innocent children and women in Gaza and elsewhere.”
He added that Khamenei’s blood “will fuel the change in the ummah,” noting that the Iranian leader stood firmly for justice and didn’t hide in bunkers.
However, Adeyanju wrote on X: “Gumi and other terrorist sympathizers in Nigeria are crying, the demon of Iran is gone.

“Iran makes too much noise for such a weak and defenseless country. Why is their airspace so weak like this? US announced it will attack Iran and still they couldn’t stop all these explosions.
“Why was it so easy for US and Israel to kill the demon of Iran? And why do Israel and US have easy access to Iranian airspace to be attacking them at will after all the noise Iran makes all the time?”
