President Bola Tinubu has officially sworn in Olatunji Disu as the substantive Inspector-General of Police (IGP).

The ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Council Chambers, State House, Abuja, where Disu took the oath of office following the reading of his citation by the State House Director of Information and Public Relations, Mr. Abiodun Oladunjoye.
Among those in attendance were Vice President Kashim Shettima, members of the Federal Cabinet, and other top government officials.

In addition to swearing in the new IGP, President Tinubu also inaugurated newly appointed commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission and the Federal Civil Service Commission. The ceremony took place ahead of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
Disu was appointed on February 24 following the resignation of the former IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, and was formally decorated with his new rank by the President the next day.
