The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has reportedly discovered several real estate assets and properties linked to the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai in Egypt.
The assets are allegedly relevant to the current ICPC inquiry into events that occurred while El-Rufai was the governor of Kaduna State.
According to sources, the findings include six residences and three villas, all of which are reportedly situated in upscale neighbourhoods and estates in Cairo, Egypt’s capital.

Based on findings and checks by sources, villas and homes in New Cairo’s Arabilla Estate and Banafsik Estate sell for between $1,000,000 and $1,300,000.
Meanwhile, apartments in Cairo Festival City have a price tag of around $500,000 each.
Sources quoted in the ongoing investigations into El-Rufai’s tenure disclosed that the properties were purchased between 2021 and 2023 when he was still the Governor of Kaduna State.

One property at Arabilla Estate in Cairo’s fifth settlement region, another villa at Banafsik Estate in New Cairo’s first settlement area, and another villa in Oriana II, New Cairo (near American University) are among the properties linked to El-Rufai.
Additional holdings include two flats in Oriana Estate, New Cairo, and four units in Cairo Festival City.
Recall El-Rufai is currently being investigated by the anti-corruption organization for allegedly embezzling money while serving as Kaduna State’s governor from 2015 to 2023.
