Youths on Thursday staged a protest in Lagos, demonstrating against the ongoing lack of electricity supply in several parts of the state.

The protesters, largely young residents from the affected communities, marched along major roads carrying placards and chanting slogans to express their anger over the prolonged blackout.
During the demonstration, the youths repeatedly chanted, “Give us light, we are not asking for too much,” while urging the Lagos State Government to urgently intervene and resolve the power crisis.

The youths said the continued lack of electricity has severely disrupted their daily activities and negatively affected small businesses that depend on stable power supply.
They, therefore, urged the authorities to take immediate steps to restore stable electricity in their communities.
As of the time of filing this report, no official statement had been issued by the authorities regarding the protest.
Nigerians have been grappling with epileptic and unstable power over alleged drop in gas supply and other issues.
