The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC), led by Tanimu Turaki, is currently in a closed-door meeting with the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT), chaired by Adolphus Wabara, in Abuja.

According to reports, this marks the third meeting held by the faction within the week.
At a similar meeting on Wednesday, Turaki’s group expressed willingness to reconcile with the camp aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. Turaki also noted that there are encouraging signs suggesting both factions are moving closer to reaching a truce.

On its part, the PDP caretaker committee led by Abdulrahman Mohamed, which is backed by Wike, has also indicated openness to reconciliation.
However, the faction outlined certain conditions, insisting that its planned national convention scheduled for March 29 and 30 must go ahead.
Those in attendance at the ongoing meeting include Turaki, Wabara, former Niger State governor Babangida Aliyu, former Kano State governor Ibrahim Shekarau, and former Minister of Information, Jerry Gana
