Sam Amadi, Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, has described Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as a key figure within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), noting that his influence stems not from formal hierarchy but from being the driving force behind his faction.

Sam Amadi made this known on Monday during an interview on Prime Time, a programme on Arise Television, while reacting to the recently concluded PDP national convention in Abuja, which followed that of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He further stated that Bukola Saraki would likely уступ (concede) in the power dynamics, arguing that Wike possesses greater political weight and stronger institutional influence.
According to Sam Amadi, the faction’s continued relevance is largely tied to Wike’s ability to deliver results and get things done.
“Wike tried to be smart. He tried to say, we are all leaders. But clearly he didn’t fight back not because of hierarchy.
