New executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State have been elected following a state congress conducted through consensus over the weekend.

The congress, chaired by Ambassador Baba Gana Ajimi, was held at the Mahmud Ribadu Square, where he also announced the dissolution of the former state executive committee of the party.
During the proceedings, Kate Raymond Mamunu, Majority Leader of the State House of Assembly and representative of Demsa Constituency, moved the motion to dissolve the existing executive, which was seconded by Suleiman Ahmed Gangkuba, Chairman of Toungo Local Government Area, effectively ending the tenure of the previous leadership.
The consensus process was initiated after Senator Grace Bent moved a motion in line with the party constitution, which was seconded by Hon. Sunday Peter, representing Guyuk Constituency.
Following a voice vote from delegates confirming the consensus arrangement, Ajimi announced the new state executive officers, including Hamza Bello Madagali as Chairman, Dr. Raymond Chindama as Vice Chairman, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu as Secretary, Bature Moses as Assistant Secretary, Victor Dogo as Publicity Secretary, and Dedan Raymond as Youth Leader, among others.
Speaking at the event, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri described the development as a sign of political consolidation, noting that the state had achieved full political integration and was positioning itself for future elections.
He explained that the process reflects political evolution and unity, adding that although individual interests may differ, no stakeholder is a “loser” in the broader effort of party building.
Fintiri also highlighted that the smooth conduct of ward, local government, and state congresses demonstrated political maturity and a shared commitment to strengthening party structures.
He further noted the formation of a grassroots mobilisation platform known as the “Adamawa Renewed Hope 226 Movement (ARH226M),” which he said covers all 226 wards in the state.
