Michael Oyedokun, one of the abducted teachers of Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, has been reportedly killed.

Recall that gunmen invaded the school on Friday, May 15, abducting the principal, several pupils, and some staff members.

The incident has renewed concerns over rising insecurity in parts of Oyo State and across Nigeria, coming a few weeks after a failed kidnapping attempt along the Ibadan-Ijebu road left one traveller dead.

However, a new video released by the bandits on Sunday, May 17, 2026, reportedly showed the killing of Oyedokun.

The disturbing footage, which quickly spread online, has heightened fears over the safety of the remaining victims.

Meanwhile, the latest incident has thrown the community into mourning, as residents, families of the victims, and indigenes continue to urge security agencies and the Oyo State Government to intensify rescue efforts and secure the release of those still in captivity.
