Nigerian entrepreneur and socialite, Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has explained why he shifted his political support from the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to President Bola Tinubu.

Cubana Chief Priest noted that he and several other celebrities were strong supporters of Obi during the 2023 presidential election.

However, ahead of the next election cycle, he said he has now aligned himself with Tinubu and is actively involved in the City Boys Movement, a grassroots mobilisation group initiated by Seyi Tinubu.

Speaking during a conversation with streamer Peller, Cubana Chief Priest said his decision to leave Obi’s camp was driven by a desire not to experience another electoral defeat.

He further expressed doubt about Obi’s chances in future elections, arguing that the former Anambra State governor may not be fully prepared for a successful presidential bid.

“I left Obi because I don’t want to lose again. Peter will still not win because he is not ready,” Cubana Chief Priest said.
