2027: Nyameh assures members Accord Party will feature on the ballot.

The governorship candidate of the Accord Party in Taraba State, Professor Jerome Nyameh, has urged party members to remain calm following a Federal High Court judgment, insisting that the ruling does not threaten the party’s future or its participation in upcoming elections.

In a statement aimed at easing tensions within the party, Nyameh said supporters should not be alarmed, stressing that the judgment is only an initial ruling in an ongoing legal process.

“Don’t be discouraged by the Federal High Court judgment. ACCORD will be on the ballot in 2027,” he said.

He noted that the ruling is not final and remains subject to further judicial review, adding that Nigeria’s legal system allows for appeals up to the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.

According to him, “The Federal High Court is just a trial court. There is the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.”

Nyameh maintained that the matter is still far from being concluded and expressed confidence that the party would explore all legal avenues to secure a favourable outcome.

He also reaffirmed that the Accord Party remains a strong political platform with structures nationwide and continued growing support.

The professor called on supporters to stay united, law-abiding, and focused, encouraging them to sustain grassroots mobilisation despite what he described as temporary legal distractions. He added that preparations for future political activities are already ongoing and that internal cohesion within the party remains solid.

Nyameh further mentioned key figures in the party, including Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, describing the Accord Party as a platform strengthened by credible political actors.

He assured supporters that the party leadership remains committed to its presence in Nigeria’s democratic space and is focused on strategic preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
