Actress turned evangelist, Tonto Dikeh marked a major milestone in her public journey by officially founding her own ministry, the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle (NWPT), in Abuja, Nigeria.
In footage recorded on August 9, 2026, the veteran Nollywood actress is seen delivering a powerful sermon from a church pulpit to a gathered congregation.
The video captures emotional scenes from several angles, showing worshipers raising their hands in praise and embracing each other in tears.
During the service, Tonto reflected on the path that brought her to the ministry, expressing deep gratitude to family members whose steadfast prayers sustained her through years of doubt.
“I was still in the world. I have some people who have used 10 years to keep praying for me,” she said. “God sets 12 million strong women to be by your side.”
She also addressed her sister, identified as Evangelist Dr. Princess, and expressed deep gratitude for her guidance.
Following the service, Tonto Dikeh shared additional details about the ministry on Instagram, describing NWPT’s mission and operations.
The church holds its services every Friday at 6:00 PM at the Omini Grand Hotel (formerly Alexis Hotel), located at Masalachi Junction in Jabi, FCT-Abuja.
In a separate personal update, the actress-turned-evangelist spoke openly about her personal transformation.
She closed her message with the hashtag #EVANGELISTTONTO, signalling a firm commitment to her new calling rather than a temporary phase.
