The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is in discussions with former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, aiming to re-integrate them before the 2027 elections. PDP’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Ibrahim Abdullahi, cited the loss of these key figures as a factor in their 2023 electoral defeat and expressed hope that their return will strengthen the party’s chances.
