The Abia State Chairman of African Democratic Congress(ADC), Don Norman Obinna has urged the members of the party in the State and other lovers of Mr. Peter Obi in the South-East to participate in the ongoing online e-registration to boost Obi’s chances.

He claims that unless Obi receives a large number of votes in the party’s presidential primary, the former Labour Party presidential candidate might not prevail.

On Saturday, Obinna gave a speech in Umuahia as a special guest at the Coalition for the Protection of Democracy (COPDEM) executive members’ inauguration for the LGAs of Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South.

The ADC Chairman expressed diappointment that the current ADC membership registration chart indicates that approximately 400,000 people have registered in Abia State thus far, while the Adamawa State total is approaching one million.

“It is not just about wanting Peter Obi to be President, the question should be how do we deliver Peter Obi.

“Even the ADC online registration, Abia is about 400,000 in the chart while Adamawa is about 1 million. If the primary election is conducted today, will Peter Obi win, that is my question,” he said.

He called on COPDEM members and ADC members in general to spearhead the awareness campaign and demand excellent leadership and governance.
