The Chairman of the Taraba State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Moses Maihankali, has expressed confidence in the preparedness of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general elections following the successful completion of the party’s internal congresses in the state.

Speaking during an interactive session with journalists in Jalingo on Wednesday, Maihankali said the party conducted its ward, local government, and state congresses without major challenges. He described the process as an important milestone in strengthening the party’s structure across Taraba State.
According to him, the peaceful and smooth conduct of the congresses has positioned the party well to begin early preparations for the next election cycle.
ALGON chairman expressed confidence that the APC would record victories at all levels in the 2027 general elections, attributing the optimism to what he described as the continued support of the people of Taraba State for the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas.

Maihankali noted that residents of the state remain committed to the governor’s vision and development agenda, adding that the party would build on the existing support base as it prepares for future elections.
He also called on party members to remain united and focused, stressing that cohesion within the party would play a key role in achieving its electoral objectives.
The ALGON chairman commended governor Agbu Kefas and other party stakeholders for what he described as the orderly and peaceful conduct of the congresses.
The ALGON chairman said the peaceful process that produced new party officials was commendable and wished them a successful tenure as they steer the affairs of the party toward greater progress and electoral victories.
