The Senate on Thursday asked former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode and former Interior Minister Abdulrahman Dambazau to “take a bow and go” during their ambassadorial screening.

Earlier reports indicated that President Bola Tinubu’s ambassadorial nominees had arrived at the National Assembly for the exercise.
Among those present were former presidential aide Reno Omokri and former Enugu State governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

Their Ambassadorial screening comes amid a call from former Senate Leader, Ali Ndume, for Tinubu to withdraw his list of nominees.
Ndume argued that the composition of the nominees violates the Federal Character principle as mandated by the Nigerian Constitution.
