American ‘Heroes’ Actress, Hayden Panettiere, Dies at 36

Hollywood actress Hayden Panettiere passed away at the age of 36.

In a statement provided to ABC News, her father, Skip Hayden Panettiere, confirmed her passing. He asked for privacy for the family as they process the tragic loss.

While an official cause of death has not been announced, reporting from TMZ indicates that law enforcement is conducting an investigation into the incident.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen,” he said.

Beginning as a child star, with a long career in both TV and film, Hayden Panettiere is remembered for her roles as Claire Bennet on the hit series “Heroes” and as Juliette Barnes on the musical drama “Nashville.”

Her credits include “Remember the Titans,” “Ice Princess,” “Scream 4,” and “Scream VI.”

She published her memoir, “This Is Me: A Reckoning,” in May, in which she detailed her experiences with addiction and recovery and the pressures she faced as a child star.

Panettiere had also spoken about her estrangement from her mother, who managed her career during childhood and later criticised her daughter’s memoir.

Backstory…

Hayden Panettiere is also a mother to a daughter, Kaya Klitschko, was born in 2014 to her ex-fiancé, heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Panettiere later reprised her role as Kirby Reed in the “Scream” franchise, which was released in March 2023.

Her brother, Jansen Panettiere, died unexpectedly in February 2023 from cardiomegaly (an enlarged heart) coupled with aortic valve complications, according to a statement released at the time.

Two years after his passing, Hayden Panettiere spoke candidly about her grief. Meanwhile, Panettiere’s death comes less than a week before she would have turned 37 years old on Friday.
