Speaking to supporters during his return to Sokoto, the former governor and key figure in the opposition coalition stated that he has no desire to seek what he described as political “forgiveness of sins.”
Aminu Tambuwal emphasized that his principles and convictions prevent him from aligning with the APC, saying, “I cannot join the APC because I don’t want my sins forgiven.”
He said: “I do not want my sins to be forgiven so I can’t join the APC. I cannot be intimidated. I cannot be blackmailed. No one can tarnish my records.”
The former Sokoto State governor maintained that the political landscape in Nigeria is sharply divided between “those with Bola Tinubu and his government” and “those with the people of Nigeria,” stressing that he has chosen to stand with the people.
