In a statement issued on Sunday, the APC’s State Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo, described Atiku’s remarks as an attempt to distort the truth and turn a moment of empathy into political propaganda.

Oladejo emphasized that the President’s visit was an expression of compassion and solidarity with a grieving family, and should not be used for political point-scoring.

“Only someone consumed by political bitterness would attempt to twist such a solemn occasion for propaganda,” he stated.

According to him, President Tinubu has shown a clear commitment to tackling insecurity by reinforcing security institutions, emphasizing intelligence-led operations, and enhancing coordination among security agencies.

He added that the APC-led administration is making steady progress in restoring peace to troubled regions across the country. He called on Atiku to refrain from politicizing critical national issues and instead play a constructive role in promoting unity and national development.
