Atiku Issues Stark Warning, Predicts Revolution in Nigeria

Former Vice President and key opposition figure, Atiku Abubakar has predicted that there could be a revolution in the country as Nigerians are being pushed to the wall following alleged violation of human rights.

During his solidarity visit to the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-rufai, who clashed with security personnel at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja on Thursday from Cairo, Egypt, Atiku spoke on Thursday night.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC), agents had confiscated the former governor’s foreign passport and attempted to arrest him at the airport, according to the DAILY POST.

Speaking during the visit, Atiku said the authorities must have learnt lessons from the way Nigerians at the airport resisted the arrest.

He said, “I hope they will learn from what they saw at the airport because it was people on their own that resisted the arrest.

“What they don’t understand is that there could be a revolution in this country because people will no longer accept the violation of their human rights.
