Bandits have launched attacks across states in the Northern region within the past 72 hours, killing scores and abducting many others.
The murders happened in a rural community in the Madagali rural Government Area of Adamawa State and a mosque in the Maiyama Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Reports of kidnappings in the states of Sokoto and Kwara indicate a resurgence of attacks on Northern communities.

Recall that Madagali Local Government Area, the hometown of Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, was attacked once more on Tuesday night; local sources claim that dozens were slain.
Local sources put the casualty figure at no fewer than 24, though the police were yet to release an official figure.
