Former Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Barrister Dino Melaye, has criticized former Deputy Governor Edward Onoja over his recent statements.

In a recent interview, Onoja accused former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, of betrayal, claiming that Bello had promised to support his succession but later sidelined him in favor of Usman Ododo.
Barrister Dino Melaye responded sharply to Onoja’s remarks, dismissing his claims and questioning his credibility.
Reacting to his outburst, Dino, in a post on his X handle, said Edward “aided Bello and should stop crying.”
The former lawmaker alleged that Edward Onoja orchestrated attacks on him, stressing that the former deputy governor boasted he would be “dead before the end of June 2017.”
Barrister Dino Melaye wrote: “Edward Onoja should keep quiet. He called Yahaya Bello his twin brother. He aided Bello and should stop crying.

“He instituted an FG case against me before Justice Goodluck’s court of the FCT High Court, which I won. He came to court as a witness. He was in charge of my recall and boasted I would be dead before the end of June 2017.
“They were behind my ordeals. Thank God I survived 4 assassination attempts where 12 people died, including my nephew, killed in our compound in Iluafon. Today he is whining. Watch this video… records don’t lie.”
