Ben Kure Fiercely Condemns El-Rufai’s Harsh Treatment of Southern Kaduna People, Says They Were Treated Like Lepers

The Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation, Ben Kure, has accused former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, of not treating the people of Southern Kaduna equitably.

Ben Kure, who once served as El-Rufai’s media aide, made the allegation on Monday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme.

“What he’s saying is nothing but the peddling of falsehood. Now, let me say something very clear and categorical. Having served and being the director general of his campaign, he (El-Rufai) did not even find us worthy to respect us and then treat our people with fairness.

“I fought my elders to a standstill to ensure that we brought Malam Nasir El-Rufai to government, and all he had to do was to exclude us and then treat the Southern Kaduna people like lepers.

“That was the kind of thing he needed. So he joined the heads of Kaduna State and sharply divided Kaduna State.”
